HTC One A9 - full specs revealed HTC One A9 - full specs revealed

The HTC One A9 handset has been the subject of many rumors and speculations in the last few weeks. Fortunately, that's no longer the case as the company has finally officially announced the phone's full technical specifications. What really stands out is that this will be the first smartphone which isn't made by Nexus to come with the latest version of Android (Marshmallow) right out of the gate. As a personal overall impression, the A9's design is very similar to the iPhone 6's, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

The smartphone features a 5 inch Gorilla Glass 4 screen with a resolution of a 1080p, a metallic case with 2.5D glass curve and antenna breaks on the back side (sounds familiar?), HTC BoomSound speakers and Dolby Audio. HTC's latest model is 7.2 mm thin, 143 grams light and offers five color options: sea coral, deep garnet, obsidian, turquoise blue and topaz gold, but the last one is only available in the US. The cameras are the same as in the other HTC models: a rear one of 13 MP and an UltraPixel camera on the front side. (Optical stabilization and editing tools such as HTC Zoe or Hyperlapse are included.)

Under the hood, the A9 comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 617 CPU, a 2150mA battery with Quick Charge 2.0, 2 or 3 GB of memory and 16 or 32 GB internal storage space (depending on which version of the phone you choose). Additional features include the possibility to extend the storage space with a Micro-SD card, 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth and a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button. In case you're interested in acquiring the handset, the unlocked version of HTC One A9 costs $400 and becomes available for pre-order starting with October 20 (with deliveries beginning in November).
