Meet Hush: the Smart Ear Plugs Designed to Help You Sleep
Neighbors who fight all the time or keep listening to loud music throughout the entire night, annoying dogs barking in the yard across the street, or the snoring of the other person in your bed: these are just a few of the reasons that could compromise your ability to get a good night's sleep. Hush is a new project designed to help you rest in any circumstance.
Hush is a pair of tiny wireless ear plugs that won't let the noises from the outside world bother you when you are trying to relax. This gadget conveniently fits your ear and uses noise masking technology to keep you isolated from the environment surrounding you. Since people should be able to utilize the product while they sleep, comfort was the main focus for its creators. Hush's exterior is curved so you can roll around in your sleep without feeling the device, while the part that goes into your ear is made out of memory foam and angled so that it naturally follows the curve of your ear canal.
One of the best things about this product is its capability to be smart. Generally, I prefer not to use noise canceling gadgets because I might miss some urgent calls or messages. Hush connects to your Android and iOS devices with the help of a specific app, thus ensuring that you're still in touch with the important things from the outside world. The application comes with a personal alarm, soothing sounds (waves, rainfall, white noise, etc), binaural beats that can either relax or wake you up, notification filters that lets you decide who gets to wake you up and trackers that help you find the gadget.
As far as battery goes, these small devices are capable of playing music and staying connected to your phone for over 10 hours. Furthermore, the case that stores the product can recharge the ear plugs ten times without being plugged into an outlet. Hush is still a prototype and will hit the markets in May 2015 and will cost $150. For more details you can visit its KickStarter campaign page.
