Microsoft Accidentally Revealed Its Purchase of Acompli
Microsoft yet again stirs up the Internet. This time, all the fuss was triggered by the company's latest blog post that's on the following URL: //blogs.microsoft.com/blog/2014/11/25/microsoft-acquires-acompli/ Nothing found? That's the thing: the post, apparently, wasn't to be published at all (at least, for now).
Authored by Microsoft corporate vice president Rajesh Jha, the post appeared yesterday and has gone now, leaving behind lots of questions and guesses. In case you missed it, although the post itself is blank, its slug (the text in the web address) says ''microsoft-acquires-acompli''. This accidentally leaked announcement implies that a deal between the tech giant and the stylish email app development company is complete or in its last stage.
If the assumption is right, Microsoft is acquiring a powerhouse email app acclaimed as an AppAdvice App of the Week shortly after its release in April. Actually, Acompli is a feature-packed email management mobile application mainly aimed at helping users find their most important emails to stay focused on what matters. Along that, the app allows quickly setting up calendar events and sending invites to others, provides quick access to all the attachments in the account, and can connect to Google Drive or Dropbox accounts, which should greatly facilitate the users' workflow.
As for any other details, Microsoft declined to comment on the matter, so all that remains is to wait for further news.
