Paid-Off Mortgage As The Christmas Gift by One App Developer
It is well known that wonders will never cease at Christmas. Joe Riquelme, a developer of the iOS-based app called Videoshop (a feature-rich video editor) has proven this absolute truth all over again.
Preparing for season greetings, he answered the true-life question if it’s worth being greedy for a present for his beloved ones. Sure, not! We should always get our money worth. So did Joe. He shrewdly made his mind up that money is junk paper and what is really worth is his mum’s smile and dad’s pride. That’s why he paid off his parents’ mortgage on a new house as a Christmas gift! He elegantly sealed up a notice in an envelope. The notice says: “Your house is paid off. Merry Xmas. Joe”.
At first, his mum mocked the envelope as she could hardly consider this piece of paper to be a cutie present; however, she completely changed her mind as soon as she had read the notice. Joe’s parents couldn’t believe their eyes. Yeah, you’d better have a look at the touching video that gathered over 7m views at YouTube!
In his Facebook account, Joe said in more details: "Sometimes the best gifts come in the lamest packages. Merry Christmas everyone! -- feeling happy".
Right you are, Joe. Happy winter holidays!
