YouTube Will Start Sponsoring Its Biggest Video Creators
In a recent post, YouTube announced that it intends to invest in its most popular video creators. The media-sharing website will start to pay the video production costs for some of its biggest stars. We still don't know any specific names of people who were chosen to participate in this campaign or its exact starting day, but hopefully, that information will soon become available.
YouTube already has a bit of a tradition when it comes to funding its video creators. The company founded YouTube Spaces in Los Angeles, Tokyo and London so that the artists can have access to the latest equipment and the best-looking sets for their video making needs. Furthermore, the media-sharing website organized extensive marketing campaigns in the US for some of its biggest stars including Epic Rap Battles of History and Bethany Mota (a beauty guru who is currently starring in Dancing With the Stars). Now, it wants to expand its advertising campaigns to Brazil, France, Germany and the UK.
Since YouTube has more than 1 billion viewers on a monthly basis, and the average total watching time is growing by 50 percent a year, the website has decided to fund the new videos of its biggest stars. This will not only help the up-and-coming artists make their dreams come true, but also offer the millions of fans the fresh content that they desire.
As this is uncharted water, YouTube will surely make some mistakes along the way, but the company hopes that together with its creators, they will be able to create some awesome new content for the website.
