Inbox by Gmail updated with better organization features Inbox by Gmail updated with better organization features

If you wanted some more organizational features out of Google's Inbox, I've got some good news for you: the company has just updated the service and made three important changes. When you use the newest version of the app, you will have a much easier time keeping track of your calendar events, saving links and staying on top of your newsletters. The update has already started rolling up and should be available to worldwide users within 24 hours.

Let's talk a bit more about each of the changes:

  • Calendar Events - this feature will allow you to keep up with all the emails that you send back and forth that are related to a specific calendar event. This works just like the trip bundles functionality that groups all your hotel, flight, car and restaurant reservations together.
  • Newsletters - if you receive a lot of newsletters, from now on, it will be much easier to stay on top of them all. Inbox will now show you quickly readable previews of every promotional email that you receive.
  • Links - a bit surprisingly in my opinion, Inbox's latest version also provides an easy way for the users to save and share all the links that they receive in their emails.

Google has been working hard on making Inbox by Gmail a top-level email client and that is great for everyone who isn't completely satisfied with Gmail or Outlook. Although the service was launched just last summer, the IT giant already improved it a couple of times with important features such as smart replies or better search capabilities.
