Forget what you know about photo-sharing apps and instant messengers. Erase all of them Snapchats, Instagrams, Telegrams, Whatsapps from your device, because Facebook released another messenger that's going to rock your world.

They thought long and hard on this one. They bought Instagram, and they are buying Whatsapp. They tried to acquire Snapchat for $3 billion, but when the deal didn't come through they just knew it was high time to change something. Of course, you'd have to come up with something useful and creative, so that's kind of what Facebook did. Introducing Slingshot: a social messaging app where you can share photos with your friend or a bunch of people (sounds familiar?), BUT “there's a catch!” as the video here suggests.

Yeap, you can only see photos sent to you if you send one back. That's the difference. Feel like giving it a go or convincing your friends to switch to another social messenger? Here are the links: AndroidiOS
