Instagram to Email Photo Highlights Instagram to Email Photo Highlights

Instagram here, Instagram there… It seems that the creators might be losing a great number of users because of how easy it is to get tired of scrolling through endless interesting and not-that-interesting images in the feed. To maintain the public interest, they decided to overload you with regular e-mail notifications. According to TechCrunch, Instagram is now sending users something called Highlights – the most interesting extracts from their feed. In these emails, you will see the best pictures from people you are subscribed to.

Over 300,000,000 people are using Instagram, but only a few of them actually have the time to spend a whole day uploading photos and putting likes on others'. That's why the company decided to put these do-not-miss-the-fun-stuff tactics into action. Even if you think that e-mail digests are only an additional source of spam and ads, try to look at them from another prospective – you will never miss anything worthy.

Instagram is not as young as it used to be, and this “innovation” might just be their chance to win back users who haven't launched the app in a while. If you don't realize how much content you are missing out on, Instagram will show you! I guess we'll see how the user base reacts shortly.
