Google's product Nexus 5 has been pretty popular during its presence on the shop shelves. Yet, Nexus 5 availability began to drop gradually late last year, as the new flagman appeared. Its total disappearance was something predictable and well rumored about. So, this day has finally come.
The device stayed on sale almost till the end of the 2015's first quarter. Even though it was initially promised to never be returned to the stores the very moment the device was gone for the first time, its availability was extended for a short period.
Now the phone is no longer reachable from Google stores. Instead of the device the line “The Nexus 5 is no longer available for purchase” can be seen on their sites.
Yet, this is not the only dead product by Google these days. The first Chromebook Pixel also said “Farewell” to customers, as Ubergizmo states.
The company moves forward together with this spring getting rid of old products and freeing the space for the new ones, like Nexus 6 and fresher devices to come.
