Order Food From Search Results
In various situations, like when you have to work long hours, it is very handy to have the possibility to order food from a restaurant right to your home. Sadly, ordering usually takes a lot of effort, especially on the go. You search for a restaurant site from your smartphone, choose what to order, then look for their phone number, and make a call, not even being 100% sure that your order will be taken correctly. There's always a chance something gets mixed up in it.
Google fixes the situation. Six food providers, namely Seamless, Grubhub, Eat24, Delivery.com, BeyondMenu, and MyPizza.com, now accept orders placed online right from search results. When you search for a nearby restaurant on your phone, you will find an option “Place an order” within the search results. Tapping on that will lead you to a delivery service choice (one of the six mentioned above). The only thing left is to complete the order. You will see the delivery conditions and approximate time.
One more good piece of news is that the list of available food providers is to be widened. Google plan to enrich our experience and make the service even more convenient.
